The release of the Starlium Scythe, the newest item in Mobile Legends, has sent players into an overdrive of excitement.

Calamity Reaper and Shadow Twinblades, two of the most sought-after offensive magic items, were replaced by the gear with the release of patch 1.7.94.

It’s a hybrid between its forebears, giving its users an extra 70 magic power, a 10% reduction to cooldowns, and 6 mana regeneration. Hybrid Lifesteal, a new gameplay mechanic that replaced both Magic and Physical Lifesteal, is also granted to heroes at a rate of 8%.

Starlium Scythe’s passive effect, Crisis, is what steals the show, granting heroes an increase in True Damage equal to 100 plus 100% Magic Power and 10% increased movement speed for three seconds after using a skill.

3 Mages who benefit most from using Starlium Scythe

Harith

Calamity Reaper was previously the mobile mage’s second most important item, behind Magic Shoes, before the change. In the early to mid game, the eliminated item’s combination of 100 Mana, 6 Mana Regen, 10% Cooldown Reduction, and 70 Magic Power was all that players could ask for.

Starlium Scythe can be substituted for the item in the build to achieve almost the same effects. This improves the mage’s early lane presence in both the gold and the mid lanes. Because of Crisis, he also has an extremely high kill potential.

Starlium Scythe should be purchased shortly after Magic Shoes, with subsequent purchases of Feather of Heaven and Holy Crystal for increased magical damage output.

Aamon

Another hero that benefits greatly from having Starlium Scythe is Aamon, since the item’s extra qualities give him everything he needs to dominate the mid- to late-game.

The six mana regeneration and ten percent reduction in cooldown may not seem like much at first, but they are enough to keep him going.

The Crisis passive complements his skill set perfectly. He can quickly melt weak heroes with his increased Basic Attacks, which are laced with True Damage, after he has closed the distance by throwing forth Slayer Shards.

Even the most tanky of wanderers or fighters won’t be safe until he starts unloading his Soul Shards and kiting back, culminating with his Ultimate, Endless Shards.

To accomplish this, the Starlium Scythe can be crafted as the third item in the hero’s arsenal after the Genius Wand and the Glowing Wand or the Feather of Heaven, respectively.

Karina

Starlium Scythe Karina

Karina was previously the primary benefactor of Shadow Twinblades and even carried them on her person. The item’s passive, Assassination, made her Basic Attack stronger and increased her Magic Lifesteal, Magic Power, and Movement Speed by 15%, 75%, and 5%, respectively.

Despite the Shadow Twinblades’ removal from the game, Moonton made sure that Karina mains wouldn’t miss them by making the Starlium Scythe available to them.

The eight percent Hybrid Lifesteal allows the assassin, like Harith, to use the item to its full potential in combat while still coming out on top.

Due to the synergy between the Crisis passive and Karina’s own passive ability, Shadow Combo, she is able to deal True Damage once every 1.5 seconds, making her one of the best users of the item.

In order to quickly wipe off weak backline heroes, players should equip Karina with Starlium Scythe as soon as possible and immediately increase her magic damage with Holy Crystal or Concentrated Energy.
