Counter Joy With These 5 Heroes

In this article, we are going to learn how to counter Joy. The newest assassin in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang is Joy, the Flash of Miracle. She is swift and can easily dash across the battlefield several times, much like Wanwan. Her talent set has a special catch....

In the latest Mobile Legends: Bang Bang patch 1.7.20, Moonton updated two 2018 heroes—Gusion and Lesley—by updating their character models and animations as part of the Project NEXT project.

The programmers chose to take further action for Lesley. As they did with Gusion, they have improved some of her skills in addition to changing her character model and skill effects.

Lesley has always been a situational choice because she lacks early game damage and mobility. She is now a viable option in a meta where tanks are now played in the jungle and EXP lane, though, thanks to these improvements to her skill set.

Attributes

  • Base Attack increased from 131 to 140
  • Attack Growth decreased from 9 to 7
  • Attack Speed Ratio decreased from 100% to 80%

Passive – Lethal Shot

  • Lethal Shot crits now deal true damage but the base crit damage is reduced
  • Each point of fixed physical penetration is converted into crit damage at a set ratio
  • Damage decreased from 120% physical attack to 110% physical attack
  • Fixed an issue where some equipment could not get a bonus crit chance from this skill

Skill 1 – Master of Camouflage

  • Now comes with brand-new textures while Camouflaged to better fit the effect
  • we’ve also improved it for smoother combos with basic attacks
  • Extra physical attacks decreased from 75-200 to 85-135
  • Fixed an issue where some equipment could not get a bonus attack from this skill

Skill 2 – Tactical Grenade

  • Slightly increased the casting range, redesigned the animation and visual effects, and optimized its combos with basic attacks and Skill 1.

Ultimate – Ultimate Snipe

  • Redesigned the indicator and visual effects
  • Fatal Bullet’s Base Damage increased from 200-300 to 250-350
  • New passive effect: Gains critical chance based on the skill level (5%-15%)

The Deadly Sniper’s first ability, Lethal Shot, now deals real damage, which is the biggest change introduced by patch 1.7.20. Only Karrie and Wanwan, two other marksman heroes, could inflict real damage before the change.

Ranking games are already feeling the effects of this adjustment. Lesley has surpassed Beatrix for the first time since her release to become the second-most popular hero in Mythic III and above, according to MLBB statistics.

The base damage of Ultimate Snipe has also been slightly boosted, and it now offers an additional 5% crit chance for each level of skill.

She will have less of an influence when laning against marksmen who have gap closers, despite the fact that these adjustments are undoubtedly beneficial in the current meta where tank junglers dominate. Her attack growth per level and attack speed ratio have both been decreased to counteract the increase in base damage.

Additionally, Lethal Shot does less critical harm. You probably won’t deal as much damage unless you’re facing an opponent who has already constructed protective equipment.

Lesley is, in summary, a fantastic marksman against a tanky lineup, but she still lacks the punch of other marksmen heroes who have strong DPS and gap closers.

Lesley’s chances of being selected in the MPL PH and MPL ID this season are uncertain because newly created heroes can only be used in competitive play two weeks following their debut.

Beatrix Nerf

All Weapons

  • Reloading time slightly increased
  • Reloading time now decreases greatly as attack speed increases

Renner (Sniper Rifle)

  • Damage decreased from 350-525% physical attack to 365-400% physical attack
  • Hitbox increased to 1.5 times the original
  • You can now swipe to get the skill indicator while she’s reloading (the indicator is red while reloading)

Wesker (Shotgun)

  • Damage decreased from 125-195% physical attack to 150%-220% physical attack
  • Hitbox Width: Reduced to 75% initial hitbox width
  • Each successive hits deal 25% initial damage. The total damage she can make at close distance is greatly reduced, and she must be fairly close in order to hit multiple enemies

Bennett (Grenade Gun)

  • Damage decreased from 180-320% Physical Attack to 230-300% physical attack
  • Slow effect increased from 30% to 40%

Nibiru (Submachine Gun)(↑)

Damage increased from 50-67.5% physical Attack to 52.5-70% physical attack

Ultimate

Renner (Sniper Rifle)

  • Aim Time decreased from 20s to 8s
  • Lifesteal decreased from 50% to 25%
  • Canceling a cast only loses a 50% Cooldown

Wesker’s Elation

  • Damage increased from 295-445 + 110% physical attack to 350-550 + 130% physical attack
  • Hitbox Width reduced to 75% initially
  • Successive hits damage decreased from 75%, 50% and 25% initial damage (remains at 25% for all the successive hits) to now dealing only 25% initial damage. (The total damage she can make at close distances is greatly reduced, and she must be fairly close to hitting with multiple hits.)
  • Lifesteal gain decreased from 50% to 25%

Bennett’s Rage

  • Slow effect increased from 30% to 40%

Nibiru’s Passion

  • Damage increased from 6 times to 10 times
  • Damage per hit decreased from 200-320 + 60% physical attack to 130-210 + 40% physical attack
  • Damage per hit reduced by around 35%; total damage increased by around 10%

You might have noticed that the majority of Beatrix players are exclusively utilizing Wesker and Renner if you’ve been playing ranked this season and watching MPL. This is due to Wesker’s ability to quickly take down practically any hero at close range with a combination of her basic attack, Wesker’s Elation, and basic attack.

In terms of Renner, it can also one-shot opponents at a great distance. It takes less than 10 seconds to switch between short-range and long-range burst damage, making it challenging for the enemy to respond.

Wesker’s hitbox and follow-up damage each hit have been reduced by Moonton. Wesker’s Elation, her ultimate, now takes less time to aim and has less lifesteal.

Renner’s base damage has likewise been reduced to the absolute minimum. Additionally, Renner’s Apathy will have shorter life steal and aim times.

Her less well-liked weapons, Nibiru and Bennett, have been enhanced. Her machine gun, Nibiru, now deals more basic damage. Nibiru’s Passion now has 10 hits, but each hit deals less damage. The sluggish effect of Bennett’s Rage has also been increased, as has Bennett’s basic damage in the early game.

To deal the maximum damage while having a significantly slower reload speed, choosing an attack speed build with Bennett as your defensive choice and Nibiru as your main weapon is the best course of action. If your side is far ahead in the game or in the early going, Wesker and Renner are still excellent selections.

Due to Beatrix’s versatility, there is a good chance that she will continue to be a viable pick in professional play, particularly in the MPL PH where two of the most well-known gold laners, Kiel “OHEB” Soriano of Blacklist International and Duane “Kelra” Pillas of Smart Omega, are both known for their proficiency in playing Beatrix.
