Counter Joy With These 5 Heroes

In this article, we are going to learn how to counter Joy. The newest assassin in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang is Joy, the Flash of Miracle. She is swift and can easily dash across the battlefield several times, much like Wanwan. Her talent set has a special catch....

We all want to be the best, the best Tank, the best Marksman, the best Assassin; however, given the competitive nature of Mobile Legends, it’s freaking hard. Yeah, some players have the talent to be on top of the world, though that is not the case for most players. Imagine Mobile Legends has 80 million active players, and all of these players expect one thing, to win. In this article, we will teach you some helpful tips to improve your ML gameplay and boost your rank.

Hold your Temper, Stop the Grief

If you have been playing Mobile Legends for a while now, you’ll know how toxic the community is. We’ve all been there; you’re going for a kill with your teammate, then suddenly your teammate messed up it; he misclicked or was unable to hit the stun, resulting in the opponent’s live and run. What do you think would happen next? You will blame your teammate, and since you made the negative approach of blaming him, he will retaliate. Now you two will fight throughout the game. You’re not fighting the enemy, you’re fighting for supremacy over a thing that you should’ve let go of, but for some reason, you can’t. You will exchange bad words like “bobo,” “idiot,” and unnecessary words that could’ve been avoided if you said, “That’s Okay.” Learn to be kind because there are so many reasons why your teammate could not hit that stun. Find a positive approach; the ML community is already toxic; try to be not.

Communicate

Have you ever watched a pro ML game and wondered, how are they so good? Yeah, we know that they are the 0.00001% of the player base who are on the top of the game. They move flawlessly, execute team fights perfectly, and here you are, wondering what your teammates are doing. The secret? Turn on your microphone, not to criticize someone but to communicate. I honestly don’t know why players do not turn on their mic when playing; man, it’s just a click away; it’s not like your shy because you have an ugly headset with a lousy mic; it’s a phone; it has a built-in mic and speakers, use it.

You don’t have to be a great public speaker to communicate well; a simple command will do, like “Let’s go, guys” or “Let’s push.” Giving compliments can also boost your team morale, and just what the first tip says, please, do not grieve into the microphone, don’t do it, man, you’ll waste your energy, it does not achieve anything.

Learn the Matchups and How to Counter Pick

I know this might sound technical, but knowing specific games matchup will help you win many games. There are heroes in the game who can be unplayable with certain matchups and being able to understand them can help you decide who to pick or who to ban. Imagine this, your enemy already picked Khufra, and we all know that Khufra is a rigid counter to Gusion. Now you, being the team’s Assassin, will pick, and since you don’t know about certain matchups or what counter-picking is, you picked Gusion. Trust me; this will not end well with you as you’ve already lost the game. You will have a bad game, and your team will most likely hate you and will blame you. This is the reason why these two things are essential. If you know the matchups and know how to counter pick, you can dictate the outcome of the match at the very end of the picking phase. You can check this guide to learn more about game matchups and counter picking.

Practice on Classic Mode and Explore your Hero Pool

How many games have you lost because you tried a new hero on a Rank game? Please, don’t make this a habit. Classic mode is not just for newbies; it’s a mode created so that you can practice new heroes. Nobody will judge you if you’re practicing a hero; everybody does that, so please, use the classic mode. I have played with many Fanny that is just practicing; it feels good when they’re your enemies cause you can dominate them; however, if you’ve paired with a teammate practicing in a rank game, you will lose your composure. That’s why it’s always for the best to practice first the hero on classic mode before you go rank with them.

With this, you can easily explore new heroes without damaging your rank. It is essential to explore your hero pool since this relates to learning the matchups and knowing how to counter-pick. It’s really good to have several heroes you know how to play so that when one of your main heroes gets banned or got picked, you’ll always have that plan B.

Play With Your Friends, Or Make a Friend

They say that MOBA games are best experienced with friends. For me, this is 100% true. I am confident that most of the top players in the league got where they are because they mostly play with their friends. It’s more enjoyable, feels excellent, and less toxic when you are with your friends. You don’t blame, you communicate well, you can formulate plans and strategies, things you don’t often do when you’re playing with strangers.

Mobile Legends is also a community shared by many players like you, and yes, I know, I’ve said it already, the ML community is toxic; however, if you want to get better at the game, try and make a friend. Promise, it’ll make the experience even better.

Accept Defeat, Be Teachable

No matter how hard you tried the things above, losing will always be a part of the game. There will be good games where you will dominate; there will also be bad games where you’ll feed, and that’s okay; there is no shame in that. That’s why every ML game is a teaching process, every game, you’ll find new things, and every game, you’ll find new lessons. Do not linger on your defeats; hence study them. If you don’t know, you can always replay your last match or any match in your match history. This is an excellent tool for learning from your mistakes; you can see where you have gone wrong, what your shortcomings are, and what you could have done better.

Always be teachable; even if your teammates are fighting or blaming, you try and listen to them. Maybe it’s you who’s doing the wrong things; that’s why you are losing. Man, accept if you’re wrong, say sorry, move on and play the game.
