Frediemar “3MarTzy” Serafico and ECHO have parted ways, the organization stated on its Facebook page.

The company thanked the EXP laner for his efforts to the squad in a video tribute it made in his honor.

“The house of highlights is very glad to have had you as one of us,” they wrote. “We’ll miss your TPs and dazzling plays.” “GGs and best of luck to you in the future! ”

This comes after the squad qualified for the M4 World Championship early the following year by placing second in MPL PH Season 10. The company will take part in the M-series for the first time this time. The M4 roster that was disclosed last week does not include 3MarTzy.

The 18-year-old was acquired by the orcas in Season 9 along with other elite players including Karl “KarlTzy” Nepomuceno of Bren Esports and Tristan “Yawi” Cabrera of former Nexplay EVOS.

Third-placed that year, the team’s play-in round opponent was sixth-seeded Smart Omega. However, things went wrong when they were swamped in a 0-3 rout and eliminated early.

Sanford “Sanford” Vinuya, a star player for Nexplay EVOS, was acquired by the organization in Season 10, taking 3MarTzy’s place in the starting five.

The change-up worked, as the team finished the regular season in second place with a 10-4 win-loss record.

In the playoffs, they defeated the reigning champion RSG PH in the lower bracket semifinal to secure a matchup with Blacklist International in the championship game. The squad managed to secure a spot at the M4 World Championship despite losing the grand final 2-4.

Sanford is the team’s lone EXP laner now that 3Mar is gone. His plans for the upcoming season, including whether he will play for another team or retire entirely, are yet unknown.

ECHO M4 World Championship lineup

  • Karl Gabriel “KarlTzy” Nepomuceno
  • Tristan “YAWI” Cabrera
  • Benedict “Bennyqt” Gonzales
  • Sanford Marin “Sanford” Vinuya
  • Alston “Sanji” Pabico
  • Jankurt Russel “KurtTzy” Matira
  • Jaypee “Jaypee” Dela Cruz

Is this the end for 3MarTzy?
